Student Services

We believe that individual attention and a comfortable learning environment are essential for academic progress. We want this to show in every aspect of our students' time at East Coast School of Languages.

Director of Student Services

The objective of the Director of Student Services is to help students adapt to a new culture and to provide a total learning experience both in and out of school. Our Director of Student Services:

  • assists with level changes, concerns & health insurance
  • provides students with information and materials regarding travel & education in Canada
  • helps students with services or products in the city
  • provides support in times of need

Social Program

  • ECSL offers students weekly social activities facilitated by our Social Activities Coordinator. Social Activities help students practice their English, see new places in Nova Scotia, interact with native speakers and develop friendships with other students.

Bank Account Set-Up

Making life easier for students is our priority, so we offer a Bank Account Set-Up on the second day of classes.  Our Pre-Arrival Deposit Set-Up allows parents or students to send money to a new account before the student arrives in Halifax to study. If you would like information about this, please email us.

 ID Cards

  • ID cards are available to students for $20.00.
